Misc | Kawaii Box Review

Hello lovelies! Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend so far  (☆^ー^☆)

A few weeks ago I contacted the lovely folks over at Kawaii Box and asked if I could review a box for them; to my surprise and joy, they said yes! Kawaii Box is a monthly subscription service, where you receive a box of adorable Japanese and Korean stationary and other cute items each month  (。♥‿♥。) Think I frightened my mailman half to death when he delivered it, I was so excited ahaha.

So, here's my box review! Be warned: super photo heavy post!

1 - Kawaii Neko Plush (Cute Cat Plush)

2 - Tin Dinosaur Pencil Case

3 - Macaron Ink Pen

4 - Cloud Memory Letter Set

5 - Korean Deco Tape

6 - Polka Dots Shoe Laces

7 - Popsicle Squishy Charm

8 - Mini Animal Spray Bottle

9 - Alpaca Tin Case

10 - Puffy Paradise Stickers

11 - Naru Naru Gumi Nomi DIY Candy Kit

Sooooooo many photos ahahaha! Ugh, everything's so cute it's unbelievable!

Since receiving this Kawaii Box I've already started using a few items, such as the Macaron Ink Pen. It's cute and colourful, and as I'm constantly trundling off to interviews or meetings with recruitment agencies, I need a pen attached to my Week by Week Diary at all times to note all of these appointments down.

I'm also using the Popsicle Squishy Charm, and the Puffy Paradise Stickers. My boyfriend broke the little keyring I was using to keep my housekeys together, so I've started using this really big H&M Tiger Face keyring so that my keys are easy to find in my rather large and cluttered messenger bag. The Popsicle Squishy Charm has now joined the Tiger Face, and now my keys are unmissable in my bag ahaha 'cause this charm is so fat! It even smells kind of sweet ahaha, but the downside is now I keep finding lots of little sprinkles in my bag that have fallen off ahahaha. Meanwhile, some of the Puffy Paradise Stickers have made their way onto the back of my phone, and so far I'm impressed with their staying power! They really cheer my phone up ♪(゚▽^*)ノ⌒☆

There are a few things I'm planning on using as well, such as the Kawaii Neko Plush which will probably join Tiger Face and Popsicle on my housekeys. Also the Tin Dinosaur Pencil Case as soon as I can be bothered transferring all my stationary from my old pencil case, the Cloud Memory Letter Set as both my father's and boyfriend's birthdays are in the next three weeks and I'm making home made cards 'cause I'm so unemployed and poor ahaha. The Mini Animal Spray Bottle too, as I want to transfer some of my perfume into it (currently using New Look's Pure Blush; actually smells so nice!! Quite sweet with a subtle floral undertone, not overpowering in the slightest) so I can have some in my bag, but I can't unscrew the top of the bottle ahahahaha (T▽T) Can't wait to use it when I finally manage to unscrew it though ahahaha!

All in all, I'm sooooo pleased with this Kawaii Box, I didn't think I'd get this much use out of all the items! I'm so happy and thankful that they sent one to me, and I'm 100% going to sign up for a subscription as soon as I get a job 'cause all the items are super cute and useful!

Stay tuned as Kawaii Box are also providing me with another box for a giveaway on my blog!  o((*^▽^*))o

Beauty | Soap & Glory The Fab Pore Daily Micro Smoothing Moisture Lotion Review

Hey there, gorgeous people!

So as you maybe saw in my earlier haul post, I recently made quite a large purchase from Boots, including a re-purchase of my HG moisturiser, Soap & Glory's The Fab Pore Daily Micro Smoothing Moisture Lotion! Honestly my favourite moisturiser to date (○゚ε^○)

Absolutely 100% my holy grail moisturiser. The moisturiser to end all moisturisers. One moisturiser to rule them all. Etc etc ahahaha (o≧▽゚)oニパッ

No, but seriously ahaha. I always avoided mositurisers up until a couple of years ago, because every experience I've ever had with them has ended up with me breaking out in spots within 24 hours of using it. Awful, awful, awful. But then... think in a movie, where the rain clouds part to reveal a rainbow and streams of sunshine, a group of choirboys singing, birds tweeting... that's what happened after I used this Soap & Glory Fab Pore Daily Moisture Lotion because, wait for it, I didn't break out!

This Moisture Lotion is lightweight and breathable, which I think is crucial when it comes to spot-prone skin like mine, as it doesn't clog up my pores. It absorbs easily within a few seconds, so there's none of that heavy, sit-on-your-skin feeling like you get with some moisturisers, but it still does the job! My skin is soft, for the most part spot-free (bad diet, whoops), smooth, and after all those bonuses this Fab Pore Moisture Lotion still does the essential task of keeping my skin from drying out after cleansing  (⌒▽⌒)☆

Have you tried this Soap & Glory Daily Micro Smoothing Moisture Lotion? Are you loving anything else from Soap & Glory right now? Let me know in the comments below!

Beauty | Holika Holika Pig Nose Clear Blackhead Deep Cleansing Oil Balm Review (Korean Skincare)

Oh heeey~ ♪(゚▽^*)ノ⌒☆

I'm so annoyed with myself. After finally getting back into a good habit and routine with my posts, I managed to fuck it all up, as per. My Polish friend from Uni came to stay with me for the past 2 weeks during resit period as she had two exams eleven days apart, and couldn't afford a hotel for that long. I'm surprised University doesn't offer some form of accommodation for international students that have to travel back for resit exams, some of which are several weeks apart, that's quite rude and incredibly inconveniencing for them! It's not like anyone's using the accommodation over summer, it's so dumb. I feel really bad for students who have to travel from further away than Poland. Co kurwa  (;¬_¬)

ANYWAYYY ahahahaha! Well, today's post is on the Deep Cleansing Oil Balm of the Pig-Nose Clear Black Head series by Holika Holika! You can find my previous review of the Perfect Sticker review, and my original haul post here.

I adore this Deep Cleansing Oil Balm! First off, it smells super refreshing, with a lemony citrus scent which smells just lovely (o^∀^) Given that I was rubbing this all over my nose for the past few weeks, I can tell you right now I really appreciated that it smelled nice ahahaha.

It's a fantastic balm that just melts into your skin, really. Again, I wasn't expecting any dramatic improvement given that my blackheads are so deeply ingrained into my pores that I doubt anything's going to ever really get rid of them (sigh), but I did see a small but pleasant improvement in their appearance. They seemed to look less dark and even a little bit smaller, and with the stage my blackheads are at, that's something I really appreciate! Unless I find a miracle product, I will have to be happy with tiny improvements such as these, and honestly I really am. y(^ヮ^)y

Any improvement, no matter how small, is still an improvement! Overall, I'm not expecting dramatic changes, and even a vague diminishing of the appearance of my blackheads gets a thumbs up from me ahahaha.

Beauty | Soap & Glory Kick Ass Blur and Brighten Crayon Review

Hellooooooooo beauties!

How are you all this lovely day?

Another item from my Boots haul is this Soap & Glory Kick Ass Blur and Brighten Crayon! For the past year or so I've been pretty obsessed with Soap and Glory's products, especially their Kick Ass range, and as I've been desperate to find a concealer that's lighter than my skin tone, I thought I'd give this crayon a go ヾ(´▽`*;)ゝ”

It's actually bright! It's actually what it says on the tin ahahaaha. Not only that, it doesn't just produce orange smudges when applied to my problem areas or dark circles like 90% of other concealers I've tried. It's actually lighter than my skin tone, so dark circles and blemishes actually disappear!

Plus, it does actually blur as well! It has a light texture so after blending out what I put under my eyes, it covers my nose, where it covers my pores and blackheads, which is incredibly useful for me ahaha as I have terrible pores/blackheads on my nose. This Blur and Brighten Crayon is fantastic for adding just that little bit of extra blur to what I would consider my worst-afflicted skin, making it look poreless and smooth (´ω`*)ネー

Beauty | Holika Holika Pig Nose Clear Blackhead Perfect Sticker Review (Korean Skincare)

Hello, my lovelies!

Hope you've all had a nice day. Friday tomorrow!  (⌒▽⌒)☆

I posted a while back about my Holika Holika haul, where I bought all six items of the Pig-Nose Black Head Clear series, a skincare series designed to specifically target and remove black heads! While my skin has improved overall thanks to my Missha Chocolate Latte Cleansing Foam, I'm still stuck with deeply ingrained blackheads I've had since my teenage years, most prominently across my nose, sadly a very noticeable area (´_`。)

These Perfect Stickers are the first item of the series I tried, and as this one is more instant-results than the others, which I'll need to use for a few weeks for any noticeable difference to appear (or not), I'm able to review it after just a few uses. So, here we go!

Don't mind my bare face; thank god for my camera's soft-focusing ahaha. Probably unsurprisingly, these Perfect Stickers aren't that great. I've yet to find any sort of T-zone related blackhead-removing sticker or strip that really has any effect on my blackheads. I will say they looked a little less dark or prominent after each use, but only because I was looking exceedingly closely, it wasn't like I ripped them off and was like, oh wow!

However, for the price and the cute and fun packaging these Perfect Stickers aren't a bad purchase. I'm glad I tried them, and if you have blackheads that aren't as deeply ingrained as mine, then these might actually make a difference for you! To be honest, they're probably best for prevention of future black heads. As for me, these don't make as big a difference as the other products in the series might, so I'll carry on using the Deep Cleansing Oil Balm and will hopefully have a review for you in a couple of weeks (o^∀^)

Have you tried any Holika Holika products? Are you using any skincare that targets blackheads at the moment? Let me know in the comments below!
