Beauty | Tuesday Teasings: Korean Makeup eBay Wishlist (Korean Cosmetics)

Hi all! Almost humpday everyone, we can do this!! *(*´∀`*)☆

So, I've decided to reintroduce a little series I started trying out a couple of years ago now, which is Tuesday Teasings. Basically, every Tuesday I'll put together a little compilation of all the Korean makeup or skincare I'm lusting after that week, as there's genuinely so much of it I'm seriously never going to be able to afford it all ahahaha.

About 99.9% of these posts will feature products from eBay. This is because eBay is without a doubt my favourite place to find well-priced Korean cosmetics or skincare, there is a vast, vast range of items and brands to choose from, and practically all come with free shipping to boot. Plus, items are relisted quite regularly, meaning if I've linked a product which has now ended, it's very easy to find it yourself, or for me to update the link when I check back through ( ̄ー ̄)

My first post will be a mix of brands and makeup items I've had in my eBay Wish List for a while, so without further ado!

1. Tonymoly Luminous Pure Aura CC Cream
2. Lioele Silky Highlighter BB Touch
3. Etude House Dear Girls Oil Control Pact
4. Missha The Style Liquid Sharp Eye Liner in Black
5. Missha Signature Technical Mascara Curl Up Volume
6. Tonymoly Seven Fruit Princess Gloss in Plum
So I've had this beautiful CC cream from Tonymoly in my wish list on eBay for quite a while now, and honestly the only reason I haven't bought it yet is because my current skincare & make-up routine is really, really working for me right now. This CC cream looks gorgeous. It claims to be both skincare and makeup in one, and boasts a heck of a lot of qualities, such as UV protection, anti-wrinkling, whitening (don't really need any of that ta I'm as white as a sheet), as well as evening out your skin tone, covering blemishes, and more. I'm starting to run low on my current foundation, so I might just have to hurry up and buy this already (*´ー`)

My skin's actually been behaving the past few months, so instead of picking a concealer for this wishlist like I usually would, I decided to go for a highlighter instead. Since starting Uni I've been so tired and overworked that while my skincare regime is keeping my skin fairly clear, it's looking as rundown and grim as I feel ahahaha. This highlighter says it'll cover pores, provide coverage, and brighten up dull and dreary skin! I really like the brush applicator as well, as obviously when it comes to highlighters there are just certain areas you want to um, highlight ahahaha, and I think this is a really lovely tool that I need in my make-up collection.

Of course I had to include a little Etude House in this wishlist, and this adorable pact is way, way up on my must have items list! ♪(゚▽^*)ノ⌒☆ My skin tends to get a little oily if I'm wearing makeup, especially around the dreaded T-zone area, so I always, always, always have to wear a powder to set everything, otherwise my whole face smears off around noon ahahaha. That's why I really like the sound of this Etude House pact, as it's especially designed to blot and control oily skin, keeping your makeup in place and looking shine-free and matte perfect.

I don't know about you, but I love me some liquid eyeliner. LOVE IT. Liquid eyeliner is by far my favourite medium to define my eyes, it's my go-to for every day and nights out, and I'm still on the search for the perfect one! It's got to have a sturdy, thin nib, for easy control, dry quickly, be deep black, and just look good basically. Not that I'm picky or anything ahahaa. From what I can see of this one, the nib looks a little too long, but it claims to be fast drying and as I'm running out of my current liquid liner (have had to resort to using a regular pen eyeliner for day to day use now, which draws way too soft a line for my tastes, with extra lashings of mascara for my usual level of eye definition), I might just take a stab at this Missha liquid liner as I've had luck with Missha products before (○゚ε^○)
Again, as I've had luck with Missha eye products in the past, I figured I might like to try one of their mascaras as well. I'm currently alternating between the Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Super Volume Mascara and Thick & Fast Flash Extensions Mascara, but I'm running low on both now so I need a new one in my life (*^-^) This one boasts a "great curling effect" to boot, and who doesn't like having lovely, curled eyelashes!

As the finishing touch for this wishlist, I thought I'd throw in this adorable little lip gloss from Tonymoly. In general, I just adore Tonymoly, and whilst I'm not actually a massive fan of wearing products on my lips (always too sticky, leave stains, colours don't suit my pale skin, make my teeth look yellow, hair sticks to my lips, ugh ugh ugh ahahaha), but this little gloss in particular is one of two in the 7-Fruit Princess range that comes with Pearl colouring. Which is actually less colour, more pearly shine. After re-examining the range though, I think I'd actually prefer the Mangosteen gloss if I wanted colour as I think it would suit my skin tone most out of the seven, but the Plum with Pearl swatch looks gorgeous, and despite my dislike of lip products, I'll still try anything that looks this cute ahahaha (。・ω・。)ノ♡

Do you like the look of any of these products? Have you tried any of them? Let me know in the comments below, and stay tuned for next week's Tuesday Teasings featuring Korean Skincare! (☆^ー^☆)

Beauty | Tonymoly Back Stage Gel Eyeliner in Black Review (Korean Cosmetics)

Hiya lovelies! How are you all doing? | ◕ω◕|o彡゚

I actually drafted this post more than six months ago, but obviously it's been hecticccc and I just haven't had the time to write it up properly! I'm genuinely trying a lot harder to keep up to date with my blog (and by that I mean I'm writing posts instead of revising for my last exam which is in two days, eek!), so while I try to collect some decent photos of my new products, I'll post my old drafts as filler.

So, let's get on with it!

So this eyeliner is still a go to product for me, even now after owning it for about nine months. It's ideal if you're going for a strong look, as even with a thinner brush than the one provided this liner paints on thick and bold. My only major qualm with it is that it is exceedingly difficult to draw a thin, minimalist line, as the strength of the colour and also its gel consistency means you're more likely to end up with a thicker line than the one you intended to draw ahahaha. Although, this could just be my lack of gel eyeliner applying skills (⌒_⌒;)

Have you tried this Tonymoly gel eyeliner? What did you think? Let me know!

Beauty | Memebox Unboxing: Superbox #60 Back to School by Hope Girl (Korean Cosmetics)

こんにちはみなさん!ひさしぶり!お元気ですか?
お待たせしてすみません。 (╯︵╰,)

Hi everyone! Long time no see! How are you?
I'm sorry to have kept you waiting.

I've been insanely busy and lazy, having started Uni in September and having absolutely zero free time. Any time I wasn't in class, I was commuting, studying, or spending time with my family or boyfriend. Or playing his PS4. But anyway, here I am! And after only a sevenish~ month break (; ̄Д ̄)Oops.

I had a few posts saved in my drafts but I want to get back into things with my most recent purchase of Korean cosmetics, which is a Memebox! I'd never heard of these until about October, when I saw everyone on /r/AsianBeauty was raving about them.

I wasn't sure which one to get, really. A few of them that I was really interested in didn't ship to England, or were out of stock, or hadn't been released yet. I was leaning more towards getting make-up as although everyone who knows anything about kbeauty will recommend its fantastic skin care, I currently have a couple of items that really work for me right now, so I'll stick with that before I venture out into the great unknown that is Korean skincare (*´ー`)

I chose the number 60 Superbox: Back to School by Hope Girl as I'd recently just started Uni and thought it boasted a nice full-face collection of make-up items. So, without further ado, here's the unboxing!

Apologies for the quality of the pictures, I took them at something like 6:30 in the morning while I was getting ready. As you can see, there are a wide variety of items here, including a few full-sized ones! You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck with these boxes, I know if I'd bought one of the full-size items on my own, for instance the Nude Skin CC Cream, would have cost me something like half the price of the box (which has dropped in price now), plus they do ship internationally.

Stay tuned for a couple of reviews I wrote a few months ago on products I still use now, and I'll be doing proper reviews on a few of these Memebox items, but not all (such as the eyeliner pencil, as I'm strictly a liquid/gel liner girl; pencil just irritates my eyes and doesn't ever give me the bold black lines I crave ahaha), as well as some animes and doramas I've watched recently! (⌒▽⌒)☆

Have you bought any Memeboxes? Have you tried any Hope Girl products?

Stay healthy and happy, everyone!

Beauty | Dolly Wink (ドーリーウインク) Ebay Wishlist (Japanese Cosmetics)

I've started a new job. This new job means a pay rise. I've also finished my 100 day spending ban (woohoo!). I think you can all guess what this means... Ahahahaha so basically I get paid in a few days, so I thought I would narrow down the list of cosmetics I want to try out, and one brand I've always wanted to try is the Japanese cosmetics brand Dolly Wink (ドーリーウインク). Below are my favourite picks from eBay (mainly chosen for free/super cheap shipping), so enjoy!

Koji Dolly Wink Eyebrow Pencil

Koji Dolly Wink Lower Eyeliner Pencil

Koji Dolly Wink Eyelashes by Tsubasa Masuwaka in #11 Pure Sweet

Koji Dolly Wink Eyelashes by Tsubasa Masuwaka in #9 Natural Dolly

Koji Dolly Wink Eyelashes Case

Out of this list, I think the item I want the most is a pair of the false eyelashes. I'm still too lazy to wear make-up to work (I wore it for the first week of my new job then gave up; sleep and studying take higher priority then spending half an hour slapping make-up on my face in the mornings), so I think that if I have a pair of those natural-looking falsies I have included in my wishlist above, they might just do the trick enough to give my eyes a little extra oomph without looking overdone.

This month, I also plan to get a pair of circle lenses and some decent skincare if I don't spend too much money when I go to London this weekend. All I really want right now is clear skin and beautiful big eyes. Is that too much to ask?? I guess I'll find out when I assess October's budget post-London. I have a feeling I'm going to be quite poor ahahahah!

Do you like Dolly Wink or Japanese cosmetics? What do you think of them? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Beauty | Missha Smudge-Proof Pen Eyeliner Review (Korean Cosmetics)

Finished look

So, the Missha Smudge-Proof Pen Eyeliner (updated link; original from iamlove-shop no longer available) was the last of the three Korean make-up products I bought before my spending ban was put in place :( I've been saving this one for as long as I can, but it looks like it's more wish lists until September 12th! Dammit.

Anyway, I do actually really like this eyeliner! Although, due to it's fine nib and my penchant for rather heavy make-up (never really grew out of my emo/scene kid phase ahahaha), I don't tend to use it for the main line, I tend to use my long term favourite Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen but instead for the inner corners and outer lengthening or flick. I find that it's really good for this, it stays true to its word and doesn't smudge in the slightest, so my flick and inner corners stays put all day long :)

I've also actually been trying to keep my eye make-up quite light recently, and I've been recreating the look above with this Missha eyeliner every time I put make-up on. It's excellent for tightlining, and really helps to create a defined eye make-up look without being too heavy. I wore this look to a job interview yesterday, so let's hope the interviewer likes Korean cosmetics?! :')

I don't have much else to say on this eyeliner, it does exactly what it says on the tin!

Colour: ♥♥♥♥♥
Pay Off: ♥♥♥♥
Longevity: ♥♥♥♥♥

Recommendation:
Yes, this is a great eyeliner! :)
