Beauty | MAC Hayley Williams Limited Edition Collection, Kilo Off, Gymmin' It & More

So, despite the fact that I knew about the Hayley Williams collection for MAC cosmetics for quite a while before it was released, I somehow forgot to get around to actually buying the products... whoops.

By the time I remembered and scrounged some money together, pretty much everything was sold out. Apart from the face powder! Quick as a flash, I placed my order, and voilà! Few days later, I have this shimmering beauty in my greedy paws.

Although I may not be ginger like the goddess that is Hayley Williams (save for the peak of my obsession with her in my mid-teens when my hair was a scarlet/orange as homage), I have been cursed blessed with magically pale skin and the ability to burn within minutes in sunlight, never tan. So I figure, seeing as she's also pale, this face powder may actually be a decent shade for my skin!

It was a stroke of luck that on the same day I bought the powder (last Friday), a friend of mine linked me to a super sale on a Dainty Doll concealer. Dainty Doll is the beauty range by Nicola Roberts, the naturally ginger member of Girls Aloud. Whilst I was never a fan of this particular ginger, her beauty range has always interested me, but it's been one of those interests that just niggles in the back of your mind from time to time. Until now! I had to order the concealer, it was £2 from £12! Nobody can resist a bargain like that ;)

I'll ensure that I do a proper review post once I receive the concealer (it was so cheap I had to pick the cheapest, and therefore longest, delivery time option available, else I'd be paying more for delivery than the actual product I was buying). So it should be here this week hopefully, and I can do a proper review on how both of these pale people products work :)

From tomorrow, there are just 25 DAYS until I leave for Barcelona! So far, I have bought absolutely nothing in preparation for this trip, save for a bright pink dress, anddd...

Find Kilo off at HQhair here or Look Fantastic here.

Kilo Off! This product was my absolute life saver the last time I needed to shed some weight. I reached my heaviest weight in 2011, and decided to lose 10 pounds so that I could buy a bikini for the first time in my life for my trip to Zante that September, where my brother was getting married. I lost a stone, and was my lightest weight for the first time since my early teens. I was over the moon, and put it down to this little guy.

I maintained this weight until April 2012, and as of now I've now regained 10 of the 14lbs I originally lost (due to a massive illness that created a severe hormonal imbalance that resulted in dramatic weight gain, then quitting smoking, various other on-going medical conditions, laziness, etc.), so I've invested in re-buying them. I lost the weight without exercise, but this time around I'm incorporating exercise. Purely for health and tone as opposed to weight loss. I did pretty good today, 2km in 15 minutes on the treadmill! :)

I got to use my mum's gym today as mine is in Wales, hers is so much more fancy than mine!

There are literally four treadmills in my gym ahahaha! Ridiculous how many there were in there, I couldn't even count them! That's only part of the front half as well, I couldn't fit it all in the frame and there's a whole back section for weights. Loads of people in there too, it's super intimidating!

I'm home again tomorrow, but I have to finish off my essay, then start on one of the three others I have waiting for me, as well as join my mum for a "Body Pump" class at her gym 'cause she scored me a three day pass. EXHAUSTING. I'll keep tabs on my weight and see how the Kilo Off goes. Beka, a friend of mine at work and fellow blogger, also bought some when I did, she started hers today. Anyways,

Bye for now! x

Fashion | Primavera Planning!

So I'm off to Barcelona for the Primavera Festival on the 19th May, almost exactly a month from now! I'm not excited as of yet, so this blog post is dedicated to planning my trip in the form of outfits and fitness so I can look my best and be body confident enough to maybe even wear a crop top... probably not, but we all need unrealistic goals in our lives!

I've done a tad of scouring the internet, looking for the perfect denim shorts, bright summer dress, backpack, comfy shoes, and more. Primavera planning is hard work!

Dress / Shoes / Sunglasses / Bag

Dress / Shoes / Bag / Sunglasses / Rings

T-Shirt Dress / Shoes / Bag / Sunglasses / Belt

There are sooooooo many more I could put together, but then I'd still be putting them together when I'm supposed to be packing for the holiday itself! I need to shop... like, NOW! Hurry up pay day you temptress!

I've devised a collection of beauty product must haves as well. My make-up collection has never been that vast, I only started using foundation for the first time in my life a few months ago, and I've never owned a lipstick or lipgloss, so when I think about straying from my favourites I take it very seriously ;) I think I'll post that some other time though.

Bye for now! x

Beauty | This Weekend

This weekend was just the lovely and relaxing quiet one I'd been hoping for. Friday night was spent hammering Ni No Kuni and watching Modern Family, on Saturday my car passed its MOT, I drove down to Wrexham to my boyfriend's flat, got my nails done, and Sunday was spent in bed just chilling watching MF and re-reading The Hobbit. Lovely :) completely ignoring the fact that I have like, four essays due in the next few weeks. Procrastination, you are the devil incarnate, and apparently my best friend. Booo.

I present my lazy, uneventful weekend in pictures:

Laundry day outfit, complete with a blazer I forgot I even owned.

Had a bit of an accident :( to the nail salon!

Having Instagram has made me a bit vain...

Ta da! All fixed, like magic!

I picked another Hologram Effect Layla Nail Polish as I'm still severely obsessed, this time in the colour Red Taboo. It's a gorgeous colour, really bright and gives off a shimmery sparkle whenever my nails catch the light. I'm slightly disappointed that it isn't more red, but hey ho. It makes a fantastic pink :)

I will post again soon, but these essays are starting to get on top of me, and I have to take as much advantage of having internet as possible. I hate college work, and no matter how old I get, I always leave things until the last minute.

Bye for now! x

Beauty | Layla Hologram Effect Nail Polish

Up bright and early on a Saturday for a stupid M.O.T. I swear I hate being able to drive a lot more than I like it.

So basically this post is dedicated to the Layla Hologram Effect Nail Polish collection, which I absolutely adore. I got to borrow a free sample of the Mercury Twilight shade from work and used it when I got my nails done; due to severely disliking milk and anything else that makes your nails healthy and grow, my natural nails have a tendency of staying fairly stubby and snapping if they got even slightly long. I only started getting them professionally done a few months ago, but this is a luxury I won't be able to afford if I go to University, so I'm making the most of it now.

Claddagh ring was a birthday present.

I decided not to use a filter on the second image as with it, you couldn't see a lot of the sparkle. The polish isn't actually that sparkly in real life, but it does provide a gorgeous reflective spectrum of colours when in the light. To be honest, I think it looked a lot better without the top coat my nail technician used, but the top coat they use is like super astronaut glue; despite constantly fiddling with my nails, the polish never chips, whereas when I used to paint my nails they'd be chipped at the tips within minutes.

These Layla Hologram Effect polishes are not widely available as of yet, but you can find the Mercury Twilight shade I'm wearing on Amazon.

I'm getting my nails done later today with a friend, my infills need doing and they're a bit too long for me, keep accidentally pressing other keys on my keyboard. The friend I'm going with also loves the Hologram Effect nail polishes, and I've been lucky enough to borrow the shades Red Taboo and I think it was Purple Illusion.

I'm off to pay extortionate amounts of money on a car that has absolutely nothing wrong with it. I'll try to post about the shades mentioned above later.

Bye! x

Introduction

So this blog is my own little slice of life, where I'll be documenting and blogging about everything from the new nail varnish I've been wearing, the game I currently can't stop playing, some clothes I bought, whatever diet or fitness regime fad I've joined up to, portfolio work, moans, groans, and just general life.

Whilst I would love to keep this blog as up to date as I possibly can, I spend over half my week in a flat in Wales that has no internet, plus if I'm not ill, I'm at the doctors or the hospital, fun times.

I'll start blogging about my little day to day obsessions tomorrow. For now, I need some sleep :)

Hello blogging world, I've missed you.
